1. Introduction

ShipLogs ("we", "us", or "our") is operated by Xdge Technologies LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our website at shiplogs.xyz and our GitHub App (collectively, the "Service").

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you sign in with GitHub, we receive your GitHub username, email address, avatar URL, and GitHub user ID. This information is provided by GitHub through their OAuth flow.

Repository Data

When you install our GitHub App, we access pull request data (titles, descriptions, labels, file names, and diff summaries) from your selected repositories. We only access repositories you explicitly grant access to.

Usage Data

We use Google Analytics (GA4) to collect usage data such as page views and feature interactions. Google Analytics may set cookies and collect device and browser identifiers. We also track AI token usage for billing and cost monitoring purposes.

Payment Information

Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your credit card details. Stripe's privacy policy governs the handling of your payment information.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To generate changelogs from your pull request data using AI
  • To authenticate you and manage your account
  • To process payments and manage subscriptions
  • To send service-related notifications (e.g., scheduled changelog deliveries)
  • To improve and maintain the Service

4. AI Processing

Your pull request data is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate changelogs. Anthropic processes this data according to their privacy policy. We use their commercial API, which means your data is not used to train AI models.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the following third-party services necessary to operate the Service:

  • Supabase — database hosting and authentication
  • Anthropic (Claude API) — AI changelog generation
  • Stripe — payment processing
  • Vercel — application hosting
  • Google Analytics — anonymized usage analytics
  • Slack — changelog delivery (only if you configure Slack integration)

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data and generated changelogs for as long as your account is active. Pull request data used for changelog generation is stored in our database. You can request deletion of your data by contacting us.

7. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS), secure authentication via GitHub OAuth, and access controls on our database and infrastructure.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Revoke our GitHub App's access to your repositories at any time

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting a notice on the Service.
